Our History
Cooper Farm, purchased in 1954 by Dr. Leo K. Cooper, is located in the historic community of Otis, Indiana – once an important station for American Civil War soldiers. When our family took ownership, Cooper Farm was the largest singularly owned piece of land between Chicago and South Bend, IN. The sprawling, historic barn erected in 1880 stands tall today with artful renovations and lighting by the grandchildren of Dr. Cooper.
Seventy years and four generations later, The Woodlands at Cooper Farm was born.
The Woodlands at Cooper Farm and the Hideaway at Cooper Lake are registered under the holding company BATS Indiana II, LLC.
